Zoe Barracano was raised in Manhattan's SoHo during the time when the neighborhood was evolving from a barren warehouse district. to a haven for artists and galleries. Her experiences were reported as part of a New York Times article entitled "Coming of Age in SoHo."
Ms. Barracano attended the New York's High School of Music and the Arts as an art student. She received her B.A. in Japanese Culture and the Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a graduate degree from San Francisco State University.
